Sue B. Zimmerman - Advice For Multipassionate Entrepreneurs On Focus

Hello, there! In today’s episode, Sue B. Zimmerman shares some really valuable tips for multipassionate entrepreneurs on focus. Multipassionate entrepreneurs are full of curiosity and interest in many things…which can be really draining.

That’s why one of the first things Sue had to do to establish a successful business as a multipassionate entrepreneur was to let go of her email inbox. Inboxes, after all, are kind of like magnets. They’ll drag you and pull you in many different directions, ruining the opportunity of productivity that you have in your day.

I’m so impressed with Sue for taking charge of her day with intentionality, and making a point of creating a more productivity schedule. She now has a team member clean out her inbox, who then sends her a text when it’s “safe” for her to get in there and deal with the really important communications.  With so many less online distractions, she’s able to maintain a focus on what really needs to happen.

I can totally relate to the need to do this – especially since by the time you’re listening to this episode, I’ll be on maternity leave & totally disconnected from email. But even before my maternity leave, my own team takes a lot of the communication burden off my back, which truly changes & transforms how productive I am in the course of the weekday.

Throughout this interview, Sue mentions a few different things that she had to take on when creating a thriving business. One of the points that I think stands out the most is that she decided to put herself out there by intentionally saying “yes” to as many podcast interviews as she could.  With close to 100 interviews, Sue was able to reach so many more people who reached out to hire her or purchase one of her courses because they heard her on a podcast.

I think this is worth taking advantage of for business owners who are brand new to business or haven’t put themselves out there yet in a big way.

Throw your hat over the fence and take the risk to pitch yourself and do something that will open new opportunities for you to get more exposure for your business.
