#117 How Having No Clients Is Better Than Having The Wrong Clients

Off The Charts Business Podcast

This week’s topic is about why having no clients is better than having the wrong clients.

This thought process may be a bit counter-intuitive, but it will make a huge difference in how your business grows.

Whether you’re a freelancer or a service provider, you might think that you need to take every client that comes your way because it’s either a referral or they find you via your website.

But here’s the thing — when you say yes to every potential client even if you know that they’re not a good fit, it will actually slow down your business growth.

When you work with non-ideal clients there is the potential that they may take up more of your time than your most ideal clients, and you’ll end up being less profitable on your projects or services.

It can also be emotionally draining for you, especially if the project is not staying on track due to mismatched expectations.

As an entrepreneur, you must protect your vitality to give to your ideal clients.
