Book Review:

80/20 Sales and Marketing: The Definitive Guide to Working Less and Making More

In this week’s book review, I’m really excited to talk to you about a book that is really transforming the way that I think about my business, about the numbers in my business. In the way that I spend my time and the way that I work with clients.

Using formulas it helps simplify some of the things you might be scratching your head about in your business. The book is called “80/20 Sales and Marketing”, by Perry Marshall.

8020SalesandMarketing

The 80/20 Pareto Principle – where 20% of your activity accounts for 80% of your results – is at the core of this book. But the author takes it further and breaks down the 20% within the 20% and so on until you get to the 1% that is getting you the 99% of your results.

He shows how to apply this principle to pricing where 20% of people will spend 4 times the amount than everyone else. Then within that 20%, another 4% will spend 16 times the amount that everyone else will.

I do the math in this episode to show how this might work in your business.
