This rings so true and also adds much for me to think about. I recently made a difficult decision to take down a website that wasn’t serving me (or prospective clients). I genuinely felt grief for the amount of labour that had gone into creating it and questioned if I was being reckless to simply ditch it. But the relief after I made the decision to pull it was huge. And it’s definitely freed up my own bandwidth and alignment with the projects I’m focusing on now. It surprised me how effective that’s been.

I tend to create & move on very quickly, but rarely ask myself about whether I’m up for the investment in maintaining it. Great frame to add to all content creation going forewords. Thank you!

PS great to see you here on Substack 📫

I totally hear you on this one! I kept the website around for one of my first businesses for many years after I stopped running it... I felt like so much work had gone into it, etc. When I finally deleted it and let the domain expire, it was such a relief. Like you, it was surprising what a difference it made to let it go!

And thank you for being here, it's so nice to connect via Substack :)
